Summer is here! Finals went alright, I guess, although I am really unsure of how well I did on my Micro-Eco final, which due to a scheduling error (alarm clock didn't go off and I missed the midterm ^_^ ) is my ONLY grade for the entire semester. So, whatever I get on the final I get for the class. I'm good as long as it doesn't fall below a C. I really need to put more effort and care into next semester. From what I gather the professors I picked are pretty good, and I am so very very glad I got into Professor Berkin's class. She's just such a cool lady.
Anyway, watch this music video. It's a small sample of what the Beastie Boys will soon be releasing. They are changing their focus, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. Link:

cause i figure signing off with a single initials makes me seem cool and suave. ;)
did well on my Writing final, gave in my final paper and journals, went to work, got paid for eating juniors cheesecake and drinking wine, watched last night's House, had an argument with my dad about America's Idol (he is into it and for some reason I keep reiterating that it's fucking retarded), and watched Lost.
Lost was awesome.
Cake was delicious.
Free booze yay.
Less school yay.
Good....morning, is it? I pulled a half nighter, I guess got a good amount done, but there's still quite a bit to do. Gotta study for theater now though.
Motorola had a press conference this morning during which they unveiled a bunch of new phones, including the RAZR2.
11:01 - 2mm slimmer, better brighter display, new 2-inch display on the outside. The largest external screen, twice the brightness. The chin on RAZR has been lost; you can't see the joint. Cast aluminum joints over 100k times. It supports over 180 pounds." Bangs the device. "Don't be afraid to do that."
11:02 - "This represents our biggest upgrade. We're launching with EV-DO, GSM / EDGE, and HSDPA, all this summer." 500MHz ARM processor. USB 2.0. This runs Linux / Java on SOME versions of RAZR 2 -- not all.
Holy jesus. A 3.6 Mpbs modem? That's faster than my DSL connection. And aren't most PDAs still running processors slower than 500 mhz?
Jeez. I want one.
Just testing the livejournal crossposting feature. :D
From the creators of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (which I still have not seen, this week though, god willing) comes...
So.
Here we are.
I've tried blogging on several occasions before, you know. It never quite worked out very well. I lost interest after a while and that was the end of that. Still, I'd be nice if i could maintain a blog. Lately I've been in need of some self-reflection, and the best way is probably to commit my thoughts to writing and then reevaluate them. I think.
The problem is, I have these thoughts nowhere near a computer. Rather, on the train, staring at some advertisement while avoiding making eye contact with strangers. At home I never really felt like going back to those thoughts. But we'll see.
For my first post, I hope you don't mind if I whine a bit. Hey, I'm allowed to, it's my blog! Also, nobody is reading it yet so I get a completely gratis pass. Wooo!
Right now it's Sunday, 'round 7PM. Tomorrow I have the last Business 1000 test of the semester. Wednesday is the last day of my Writing II class, and the writing journal as well as the last paper are due, AND I have the final exam. I need to write about 40 pages of the writing journal before Wednesday, write the paper and revise it at least once, and study for tomorrow's test.
Oh crap, and I have the Theater final on Tuesday that I have to go over my notes for.
Goddammit.
I'm perfectly aware of that I get myself into these messes, but still. I can't wait for everything to blow over and my vacation to begin.
Instead of studying I went to the Museum of Natural History and then to see Spiderman 3 with some friends yesterday.
I did not quite expect what I saw. At one point I questioned my fellow movie-goers as to what drugs Sam Raimi was on when he filmed the movie. I still have mixed feelings about it, since I can't outright dislike it, because I did enjoy it. It still wasn't a very good movie though. I think Peter's little musical number massacred a lot of my braincells. And all that emo crap....oh christ. And patriotic spidey! Hahahaha.
Bruce Campbell was awesome though.
